Key Terms
Hazard is anything that can cause harm e.g. a chemical, electricity and ladders.
Risk is how great the chance that someone will be harmed by the hazard.
Using these words in the assessment.
- Major- Death or major injury or illness causing long term disability.
- Serious- Injuries or illness causing short-long term
- Slightly - all other injuries or illness.
- High- where it is certain that harm will occur
- Medium- where harm will often occur.
- Low- where harm will occur.
This sum gives a risk value of 1>9 allowing a comparison of risks.

What are the main hazards within the location of your photo-shoot?
- A tree may falling down onto someone.
- Accidently getting kicked by a ball that may have been kicked by a child.
- Somebody may fall into pond.
- Risk of electric shot by dropping the camera into the water.
- Where about in Preston park I am going.
- Maybe by visiting the place and see what exactly I could use for my photo-shoot.
What do I need to take photos of there? Where can I do this?
- I like to take photos the place itself e.g. trees, flowers.
- Different areas of the place.
- I will have to use my own camera or the MiPad.
