Aim: To consider and develop understanding of the importance of advertising and to consider legal implications.

Advertising is the best way to communicate to the customers whether its through magazines or newspapers or even TV adverts. Advertising helps informs the customers about the brands available in the market and the variety of products useful to them. Advertising is for everybody including kids, young and old depending on what type of magazine it is and how it is represented to the audience. It is done using various media types, with different techniques and methods most suited.

The Advantages:
  • Specific magazine titles appeal to specific target groups more so than a newspaper advert.
  • Magazines attract children because of how much animation is there and how it is presented.
  • Magazines make a lot of many by what they might have for example, celebrities as they are more spoken about and that attracts a lot of teenagers and adults.
  • How their themes and style is presented as a magazine.
Magazine is printed on a different type of paper than newspapers which allows for your images to be presented in a higher quality with their full colour and gloss. This gives you the ability to present a clearer, more attractive image of your brand. Magazine advertising might be expensive at first, due to the costs of printing on glossy paper. However, the returns can certainly be worth it if your business has a solid marketing and branding plan.
